| In addition to his work as a composer of
theatre and film music, Polscher also toured as a flutist and saxophonist
with numerous international Jazz and Rock bands through Europe. He studied
bassoon, directed various ensembles, founded his own record company, gave
classes at music schools, produced the music for more than 500 sequels of
a daily game show, contributed as a recording artist for many record and
radio productions and published more than 20 records and CDs of his own
works. From 1996 on, he started to realise all his pieces as Scenic Music with an electroacoustic practice. From 1998 to 2004 Polscher composed a four piece cycle entitled Die mechanische Braut/The mechanical Bride: Automatik (Munich 1999), Die mechanische Braut / The mechanical Bride, opera (Darmstadt 2000), "towards a comprehensive model of change" (Zürich 2007), "Bautlieder" / Songs for the Bride (Munich 2007). "Automatik" and "Die Mechanische Braut" are available on CD from marc aurel edition, Germany, with the complete cycle due in 2006/2007. Polscher is currently working on his new choir pieces Muspilli Triptychon (Stuttgart 2008) and Holon (Karlsruhe 2008) as well as on his scenic music piece "Love & Loss" (Zürich, Cologne and Rotterdam 2008).
